Alphabets

I have been working for some time on lettered alphabets, sometimes linking to a "Bestiary" format, where each letter is associated with an etching of an animal with that letter as initial. My first experiments with this way of working came from a fruitful collaboration with three other printmakers: Audrey Judge, Fabrice Desfard and (the late) Guida Clement. We worked on an alphabet-bestiary of 26 creatures, sometimes using the English name, sometimes the French name (because Fabrice was French!). We made this abécédaire for the birthday of Fabrice's nephew Antoine.
